How to secure your Smartum benefits if login issues continue

Smartum benefit users have contacted Smartum customer service regarding login issues with the SmartumPay app. The login issues are due in many cases to denial-of-service attacks on various banks. If logging in is not successful, you can try completing the payment through an internet browser. Read more here, or you can purchase additional usage time for the benefits with the OwnGiftcard. Check your email

We remind our benefit users about the expiration of Smartum benefits. You will receive emails from us informing you of the remaining balance of your benefits and the expiration date. We send these messages as follows: 18 November 2024, one month, one week, and one day before your benefits expire. If you do not receive these messages, please get in touch with our customer service at asiakaspalvelu@smartum.fi

Secure your benefits, buy an OwnGiftcard without logging in

The email offers the opportunity to purchase Smartum's OwnGiftcard. The purchase option does not require you to log into the SmartumPay app, so disruptions caused by banks will not affect the purchase.

You can buy the OwnGiftcard using your exercise, exercise and culture, or massage benefits. This will give you an additional 3 months of usage time for your benefits. The new expiration date will be calculated from the date when your original benefit would have expired. For example, if a benefit is set to expire on December 31, 2024, the new expiration date will be March 31, 2025.

The new expiration date ensures that your benefits do not expire this year. You can secure your benefits during the issues, even if you are unable to log into the SmartumPay app. Since these problems might be long-term, we recommend purchasing the OwnGiftcard for our benefit users.

Good to know about OwnGiftcard

The OwnGiftcard is purchased using existing benefits, so it does not incur additional costs. You can use it at the same locations as your original benefit. The OwnGiftcard is available for use immediately after purchase. Once the login issues are resolved, you can view your OwnGiftcard details in the SmartumPay app.

How to purchase the OwnGiftcard with you benefits if you can access SmartumPay app

You can purchase the OwnGiftcard through the SmartumPay app. Buy the OwnGiftcard via the button below or follow the instructions outlined for you:

1. Ensure that you have updated your app to the latest version, as purchasing the OwnGiftcard is available with the newest version of the app.
2. The app will offer you the option to buy the OwnGiftcard in the Accounts view of the SmartumPay app. You can find the button at the bottom of the page.
3. Select the type of benefit for which you want to purchase the OwnGiftcard.
4. Choose the amount and press the Continue button.
5. Slide the Pay slider. Done!

The view for the OwnGiftcard in the SmartumPay app varies slightly depending on whether you have a Classic or Plus benefit. With Classic benefits, you can purchase the OwnGiftcard one month before your benefits expire.
