Early 2025: Tips for using Smartum benefits
12.12.2024
January – and with it, the new year is peeking just around the corner.
If your benefits are at risk of expiring before the end of the year, it’s worth checking out the OwnGiftcard. Not only can you purchase it with your existing benefits, but it also extends the validity of those benefits by three months. If your benefits would otherwise expire at the end of this year, the OwnGiftcard gives you until March 31, 2025, to use them.
Grow your benefit amount into the new year with the OwnGiftcard and make the most of your valuable perks. The balance you collect with the OwnGiftcard won’t be deducted from next year’s benefits. With a larger benefit balance, you could cover something like a valuable annual gym membership.

The Lord of the Rings – Tampere Hall, Main Auditorium, until January 11, 2025
J. R. R. Tolkien’s classic tale of the hobbit Frodo’s journey from the Shire through Middle-earth to destroy the One Ring comes to life on the stage of Tampere Hall.
Seili – Seinäjoki City Theater
Seili is a musical about power, gender, and the role of women in early 20th-century Finland. Sofia flees from a forced marriage, but due to a series of unfortunate events, she is sent to Seili Island — a closed community from which there is no return. The story portrays women in isolation who find comfort and strength in each other, as well as themes of impossible love and longing.
The events of the musical are based on the patient records of Seili’s mental hospital, giving a voice to the stories of women who were confined to the island and deserve to be heard.
The brothers Lionheart – Helsinki City Theater
Astrid Lindgren’s beloved classic about brotherhood, courage, and love. The story follows Skorpan and Jonathan, who, after their deaths, arrive in Nangijala and fight evil together. Along the way, the timid Skorpan grows into a brave Lionheart. Directed by Jakob Höglund, the production blends musical theater, puppetry, and choreography, creating a visually striking fantasy adventure full of hope and excitement.
