How to Get a Smartum OmaGiftCard?
You can now get a Smartum OmaGiftCard with your expiring benefits, which will extend the usage time of your benefits by three months! The Smartum OmaGiftCard is always a discretionary and personal purchase decision by the user.
The Smartum OmaGiftCard can be acquired by users of both SmartumSaldo and the flexible SmartumPlus benefits. You can get a OmaGiftCard with sports, sports and culture, and massage benefits. The OmaGiftCard can be used at all the same locations as your expiring benefits.
Purchasing OmaGiftCard with SmartumSaldo Benefits
With SmartumSaldo benefits (sports, sports & culture, massage), you can purchase a OmaGiftCard either directly from the SmartumPay app or via a link sent to your email, which you will receive a month before your benefits expire.
A month before your benefits are about to expire, the option to purchase OmaGiftCard will appear in the SmartumPay Accounts view under the expiring benefit. This feature is only available in the latest versions of the SmartumPay app, so make sure you have updated your app.
Purchasing OmaGiftCard with Flexible SmartumPlus Benefits
With SmartumPlus benefits, you can only purchase OmaGiftCard from the SmartumPay app.
A month before your benefits are about to expire, the option to purchase OmaGiftCard will appear in the SmartumPay Accounts view under the expiring benefit. This feature is only available in the latest version of the SmartumPay app, so make sure you have updated your app.
With the flexible SmartumPlus benefit, you can choose which benefit you want to purchase the gift card for. If you have SmartumPlus benefits available for multiple types of benefits, you can choose which one you want to purchase the gift card for (see image below). After selecting the gift card, choose the amount and confirm the purchase, after which the gift card will be immediately available. You can purchase multiple gift cards, but each purchase is made one gift card at a time.
Example: You have €200 of expiring SmartumPlus benefits, which can be used for sports and culture and massage. You want to extend the usage time of your benefits, so you can purchase, for example, a €150 OmaGiftCard for sports & culture and a €50 OmaGiftCard for massage, thereby extending the usage time of your benefits by three months.
How to Pay with a Smartum OmaGiftCard?
The Smartum OmaGiftCard works like your other benefits and appears as its own account in the app under the "accounts" tab. When you want to pay with the gift card, ensure at the payment stage that you have selected the Smartum OmaGiftCard as the account to use. If it is not selected automatically, change the account by clicking the account under the 'Select account to use' option.
