Receiving text message payments

Customers can also make Smartum payments via text message if your establishment accepts text message payments.

The customer asks the establishment or checks the location search for the location code. They enter this code and the payment amount into a text message, without any other information. For example, MP1929 39.00.

The text message is sent to the number +358 45 7396 0755.

When the customer makes a text message payment, they receive a confirmation message with details including the payment date, amount, and information about the receiving establishment. The customer presents this confirmation at the cash register.

An incorrect text message payment can be cancelled through our web service within the same day, similar to cancelling a SmartumPay app payment.
