No need to stress if you haven’t figured out how to use your soon-to-expire Smartum benefits. You can easily turn them into a Smartum OwnGiftcard, which works at the same places as your original benefits. Plus, when you get the Smartum OwnGiftcard, you’ll have an extra three months to use them!

You can purchase a Smartum OwnGiftcard up to one month before your benefits expire, regardless of how much of your benefits remain unused. As a benefit user, it’s your decision to buy the OwnGiftcard, giving you more time to use your benefits when it suits you best.

The OwnGiftcard is accepted at all the same locations as your expiring benefits. You can purchase the OwnGiftcard through the SmartumPay app up to one month before your benefits expire.

You can purchase the OwnGiftcard with your exercise, exercise and culture, massage or commute benefits. The OwnGiftcard is accepted at all the same places as your original benefits. Make sure you have the latest SmartumPay app version so that the latest features are available.

Buying the OwnGiftcard is easy through the SmartumPay app. You purchase the OwnGiftcard from the Account section. After the purchase, the OwnGiftcard is immediately available to you. You can pay with it in the same way as with other benefits through the SmartumPay app.

Here's how to purchase the OwnGiftcard

You can purchase the OwnGiftcard through the SmartumPay app. Just follow these three simple steps:

1. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version, as purchasing the gift card works best with the newest app version.
2.  The app will offer you the option to purchase an OwnGiftcard in the Accounts view four month before your benefits are about to expire. Note! The option to purchase an OwnGiftcard is provided separately for each benefit that is about to expire, so you don’t need to worry about accidentally purchasing an OwnGiftcard with a benefit that still has time left to use.
3. Select the amount, the type of gift card, and slide the Pay slider. That’s it!

With Smartum Saldo benefits, you can purchase OwnGiftcard 1 month before your benefit expires.

Where can I use Smartum OwnGiftcard?

You can use the OwnGiftcard at all locations within the Smartum network, according to the benefit type you’ve selected.

For example, if you have a sports and culture benefit that is about to expire, you can purchase a Smartum OwnGiftcard for sports and culture – and use it at all Smartum locations that accept the sports and culture benefit.

Easy!

If you purchase an OwnGiftcard for massage, it can be used at all massage locations that have an agreement with your employer.

How to use OwnGiftcard?

The OwnGiftcard is personal, and you’ll find it listed as a separate type in the Accounts view of the SmartumPay app. When you’re ready to make a payment with the OwnGiftcard, just make sure to select it as the balance type before completing the transaction.

How long is the OwnGiftcard valid?

The Smartum OwnGiftcard is valid for three (3) months from the expiration date of the original benefit.
